How do I check for the status of the MySQL service on my Dedicated server?

First you need to login to your Dedicated server as root via SSH. Such root access is provided on our dedicated servers that come with standard features (without Geeky setup or Performance boosters). Then type the following command to show the current MySQL status and usage:
mysqladmin status
In addition you can type the command below in order to receive information about the exact operation the MySQL service is executing at this moment:
mysqladmin processlist
